Summit Entertainment and director Alex Proyas (I, Robot) selected Melbourne, Australia, as the base for Knowing due to the variety of accessible locations, competitive financial incentives, Melbourne's wonderful lifestyle and the film-friendly nature of the city.
Knowing is the second time Nicolas Cage has filmed in Melbourne after shooting blockbuster hit Ghost Rider here in 2005.
